David Zahner – President and Lead Technical Consultant

David has been in the technology sector for almost twenty years and has earned advanced technical certifications from several different industry leaders in various disciplines including Microsoft MCP, MCTS, and MCITP for SQL Server Database Administration (SQL Server 2005 and 2008), Cisco CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), and Comptia A+ . Additionally, he has managed technical support departments for multiple well-known international financial, tax preparation, and job scheduling software companies. David has also been a senior database administrator in high traffic environments, maintaining availability and performance of databases which handle upwards of 4,500 batch requests per second with less than 50ms response time thresholds. David is extremely familiar with and has production implementations of several SQL Server high-availability solutions such as log-shipping, clustering, and mirroring as well as several replication topologies. Additionally, he possesses an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the database engine and query optimizer along with extensive experience with ETL processes using SQL Server and other database management systems using SSIS and other technologies/ solutions. He has worked in environments with several hundred databases with average sizes of 650 GB and a max size of 16 TB. He is also extremely familiar with determining server hardware as well as SAN/ storage/ IO specifications and migrations of servers and applications to new hardware and SQL Server versions always with minimal downtime. Furthermore, David has several years of experience developing windows and web applications using the .Net suite with dozens of fully developed and deployed solutions using several different encryption methodologies, ETL (Extraction, Transformation, Load) processes, XML, auto-login, brute-force detection and prevention, and several other advanced functions for stability and security.
